The course of this blog and "SKAVR Design"

Hello my friends!

It's been a while since we last spoke, hasn't it?
Well, I thought I would take a moment to explain where this blog is going, and where I am going with SKAVR Design.

So, first off, you may or may not notice that the blog has a new design. Everything is changed (Except the link to my Tumblr on the left there, can't remove it), and there is a reason. In my web-design class, we're making an online portfolio, and step one was to revamp the blog. Now everything is all white and shiny, and honestly, I see it as an improvement.

  But! Aside from making this thing a portfolio, I thought I would start a little service. I will now offer my services as a hobby logo designer and ad creator to the people of the world! So, if you are ever in need of a logo design or an advertisement idea, you know where to come.

  SKAVR Design is what I have decided to call my little "company". It is a small business, only me and my trusty computer. If you wan't to see any of my upcoming works, stay tuned right here on the blog, for in the year to come, things will happen. The world will change, time will pass, all the usual stuff really. But alas, 2014 will be my year. I will work harder than ever. I will devote my time and my life to my studies along with SKAVR Design, and I will let nothing stand in my way.

  Oh, but one thing will never change...

Calendar design collage (Quite the task)

Illustrating the illustratable

Gooooood morning!

I've made this illustration in class today, and I think it really turned out great!
It's been made using an original photograph, which we have covered with paths in Illustrator and applied colour to. I think it looks really cool!

A quite colourful task

Yes, yes friends it is I.

Possibly the worst blogger in the world of the interwebs.

I am extremely sorry for not blogging. No excuses, I am just lazy.

But now, to the point of this post. I have preformed a most interesting task, in creating 2 patterns, and 2 independent shapes using only squares and triangles whose size is 25mm x 25mm, and 50mm x 50mm. In the end, when I had finished my creations,  I realized they were quite frankly horrid.So, during the last 90 minutes, I created these monstrosities:

Pattern 1:

Lots, and lots of red

Look! It's got baby-blue now!

IT'S A ROCKETSHIIIIP!

So, please go ahead and tell me how i did. Personally, I am quite a big fan of the rocketship. It's...you know... a rocketship!
